Mee heng low Mahjong in the heart of san luis obispo!
Mahjong has always been about more than the game. It’s about gathering around a table, sharing stories, making friends and spending a few good hours together. Mee Heng Low Mahjong is a welcoming community for locals and visitors alike, bringing players of all levels together in the heart of San Luis Obispo’s historic Chinatown. Join us for table reservations throughout the week, drop-in games, relaxed Open Play nights, mahjong lessons, private gatherings, special events and more.
For generations, mahjong was part of life at Mee Heng Low, where the Gin family gathered around the table to play, celebrate and spend time together. Today, the tiles are clicking here once again — bringing old friends together, welcoming new ones and continuing a tradition that has long been part of this space.
Formerly Mahjong Social Club SLO, our community has grown from a shared love of the game into a permanent home for mahjong at Mee Heng Low. All styles of mahjong are welcome here — from Hong Kong-style play to American Mahjong with the NMJL card and other styles of the game as our programming grows. Whether you’ve played for decades, recently learned or have never touched a tile, there’s a place for you at the table.
Visiting San Luis Obispo? Come experience mahjong in one of the city’s most storied spaces. Reserve a table with friends, join an Open Play, take a lesson or make Mee Heng Low part of your next visit to the Central Coast.
